The Problems of the Chemical Industry were Discussed at Btso. Chairman of the Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry İbrahim Burkay wanted to reduce the bureaucratic and financial burdens on the chemical industry, which is one of the most strategic sectors in Turkey's development.
The use of solvent raw materials in industry and commerce, the problems experienced and SCT applications were discussed at BTSO. BTSO members and industry representatives showed interest in the meeting. İbrahim Burkay, Chairman of Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, stated that they will follow every work in order to represent the business world in a real sense and by reaching a wide base, and said, “Our committees continue to produce activities and projects that will guide their sectors in the areas they represent, under the umbrella of BTSO. I find today's meeting of our BTSO 22nd Professional Committee, which includes our industrialists engaged in the manufacture and trade of chemicals, very important.”
Explaining that the most recent issues that directly affect the economic and financial structure of the chemical industry are the SCT law and the amendments made in the legislation related to this law, Burkay said, “Getting a guarantee over the entire tax at the customs, declaring and depositing the entire tax at the production stage, sending all transactions to examination, conducting tax audits. Issues such as not being able to be completed in a short time and electronic software application not being implemented in applications unfortunately put our industrialists in a difficult situation”.
Pointing to the bureaucratic and financial burdens on the chemical industry, which is one of the most strategic sectors in the development of Turkey, which is advancing towards great goals, Burkay said, “Turkey's exports of chemical substances and products reached 2012 billion dollars at the end of 17,5. In the 2013-month period of 8, it increased by 0,7 percent compared to the same period of the previous year and amounted to 11,5 billion dollars. The export of chemical substances and products from Bursa is 2012 million dollars at the end of 409. While we have adopted an export-based growth model, we cannot have the luxury of losing our sectoral production and increasing imports.”
In the panel held after the opening speeches, Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources Deputy General Manager of Petroleum Affairs Salim Koşar, Paint Industrialists Association Board Member Semih İyigüllü, Ministry of Customs and Trade Deputy General Manager of Customs Halit Hanoğlu, Turkish Chemical Industrialists Association General Secretary Mustafa Bağan and BTSO 33 Muzaffer Koyuncu, Chairman of the Committee, discussed the issues and solutions of the chemical industry.
