The 'Physics-Chemistry Laboratory' and 'Molecular Biology and Genetics Laboratory' in Erzurum Technical University's Central Classrooms Building were put into service with a ceremony. It was stated that the laboratories, which were put into the service of students and cost 500 thousand TL, were built with sufficient equipment for R&D education as well as undergraduate education.
Making a statement on the subject, Head of Molecular Biology and Genetics Department Assoc. Dr. Hasan Türkez gave the good news that world-class molecular biology and genetics laboratory materials were purchased and assembled, and that a second laboratory will be put into service shortly.
Speaking at the opening of the laboratory, Erzurum University Rector Prof. Dr. Muammer Yaylalı said that the laboratories opened in this area are undergraduate laboratories at the level of R&D laboratories. Explaining that there will be two Advanced Technology Research Centers (YÜTAM), the third of which will be established in Erzurum within the body of ETÜ, Rector Prof. Yaylalı stated that the services provided will contribute to education.
Rector Prof. Dr. Muammer Yaylalı opened the ceremony, vice-rectors Prof. Dr. İrfan Kaymaz and Prof. Dr. Bülent Çakmak, ETU Secretary General Assoc. Dr. Bayram Şahin, Dean of the Faculty of Science Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Aydın, Head of Molecular Biology and Genetics Department Assoc. Dr. Hasan Türkez and Head of Mechanical Engineering Department Assoc. Dr. Fatih Yetim, from Ataturk University, Faculty of Science, Prof. Dr. Ökkeş Atici and Assoc. Dr. Serkan Erdal and many faculty members attended.
