TÜBİTAK will provide 1 million TL support per project for the National LED lamp. Turning towards “domestic production” in various industrial sectors, especially in defense, Turkey pressed the button to produce “national LED”. TÜBİTAK has started a project for the production of LEDs used in indoor and street lighting with maximum domestic technology. With the project, it is aimed both to minimize imports in lighting systems and to ensure energy efficiency. At the end of the project, LED-based lamps with high energy efficiency will be developed instead of lighting systems with low energy efficiency and converting the energy consumed into heat.
CAN INCREASED TO 2 MILLION TL
The project upper limit for interior lighting LEDs is 4 months, within the framework of applications that will end on December 24th. The limit in the budget is 1 million TL. In joint projects, the figure can be increased to 1.5 million TL. In street lighting, the project upper limit will be up to 36 months, while the budget will reach 1.5 million TL. In joint projects, the figure will be increased to 2 million TL.
THERE IS 95 PRICE DIFFERENCE
In the new generation LED products, which achieve an efficiency increase of 94 percent compared to HALOGENS and up to 60 percent compared to conventional light bulbs, the electricity bill resulting from 10 hours of use per day is only 3 TL in a year. However, it is stated that the annual bill of using a 50-watt halogen bulb that provides the same illumination for 10 hours a day reaches 63 TL.
