7 Projects from the Defense Industry within the Scope of Fuel Chemicals. Defense Industry Undersecretary Murad Bayar, regarding public and private sector cooperation, said, “Turkey's power will arise from here. This formulation is important. As a result, we expect a strong chemical reaction.” The signing ceremony of the Rocket Fuel and Component Technologies Technology Acquisition Roadmap Projects and the Technology Acquisition Obligation (TQM) Projects carried out within the scope of the Undersecretariat of Defense Industries R&D and Technology Roadmap took place. A total of 4 projects were signed, 3 within the scope of the Rocket Fuel and Component Technologies Technology Acquisition Roadmap Projects and 7 under the Technology Acquisition Obligation Projects.
Speaking at the ceremony held at the Undersecretariat for Defense Industries, Undersecretary of Defense Industries Bayar noted that the projects in question are extremely important for the defense industry. Stating that the private sector and public cooperation is important in the defense industry, Bayar said, “Turkey's strength will arise from this unity. This formulation is very important. As a result, we expect a strong chemical reaction.”
“WE AIM TO REACH HIGHER DIMENSIONS BY CONTINUOUSLY INCREASING OUR EXPORTS”
Roketsan General Manager Selçuk Yaşar explained that ROKETSAN has undergone great change since its establishment and said, “Today's signing ceremony is a project that adds a great depth to this breakthrough in our defense industry and our fuel adventure that started 25 years ago.” Yaşar said that 5 percent of their turnover consists of export revenues. Noting that the defense industry exports products with high added value, Yaşar said, “We aim to increase our exports to higher levels by constantly increasing them. We believe in this ability even more with today's projects.”
Stating that ROKETSAN has invested heavily in fuel chemicals to date, Yaşar said that they have come a long way in this regard and that the projects to be signed will complement this. With the Rocket Fuel and Component Technologies Technology Acquisition Roadmap Project, of which 7 projects were signed, the materials needed in the new generation low-smoke/smokeless and insensitive composite solid fuel formulations that are difficult to obtain from abroad, the synthesis of jet fuel with domestic facilities, ammunition, rocket and missile systems systems will be developed.
With the Brushless Direct Current Motor Development Project within the scope of Technology Acquisition Obligation Projects, it is aimed to produce motors with high volumetric efficiency to be used instead of conventional direct current servo motors to be used in guided missile control propulsion systems, especially in anti-tank and air defense systems.
