Export of the Chemical Industry in the First Two Months of the Year is 2,8 billion Dollars. According to the written statement made by İKMİB, it was stated that the exports of the sector, which achieved 1 billion 454 million dollars in exports in February, increased by 3,55 percent to 2 billion 853 million dollars in the January-February period. The chemical industry, which is the third sector that exports to Malta, Iraq and Egypt in February.
The United Arab Emirates, Germany, Italy, Iran, Russia, Jordan and the United States were listed as the other top countries in the February exports of the chemical industry. In addition to the United Arab Emirates, where an 804 percent increase in exports was experienced, the record increase in Croatia, South Africa and Tunisia drew attention.
Malta was the country with the highest exports in the two-month period of the year, followed by Egypt, Iraq, United Arab Emirates, Germany, Italy, Iran, Russia, the United States and Jordan. In this period, there was an increase of 72 percent for Jordan, 52 percent for Italy, and 315% for the United Arab Emirates.
İKMİB Chairman of the Board Murat Akyüz, whose views were included in the statement, stated that the exporter was affected by the hot developments on the agenda and said, “The uncertainty arising from the exchange rate and political developments still continues. In the next period, we need to see our future so that we can make long-term sales. Our greatest wish is the continuation of economic stability and the continuation of the atmosphere of trust.”
Noting that the recovery in Europe continued in the two-month period of the year, Akyüz said, “In this period, there has been an increase in our exports to European countries such as Germany, Italy and England. Within the framework of our 2023 vision, our work continues in our sub-sectors such as plastics, cosmetics, paints, pharmaceuticals and pharmaceuticals. We think that our trade delegations and national participation fair organizations within the scope of UR-GE will reflect positively on our export figures in the coming months.”
