Is Science and Literature the Highest Score Achievement in KPSS? Education Faculties? The Ministry of National Education prepared the "Success Distribution of the Participants in the Teaching Field Knowledge Test by Universities" using last year's KPSS data.
The Ministry of National Education (MEB) has prepared a draft report on the distribution of success of the participants in the Teaching Content Knowledge Test according to universities.
According to the report, teacher candidates receive general culture, special content knowledge and pedagogical formation-oriented education in higher education institutions that train teachers.
In accordance with the protocol signed between the Ministry of National Education, ÖSYM and the State Personnel Presidency, the Teaching Content Knowledge Test (KPSSP-2013) was applied in July 121. 142 thousand 645 teacher candidates participated in the exam.
It was determined that 24 percent of the 783 thousand 72 teachers who were appointed were from the faculty of education, and 28 percent from the faculty of science and literature. It was stated that 121 percent of the teachers who participated in the KPSSP-52 test and were appointed were from the faculty of science and literature, and 48 percent from the faculty of education.
In the report, it was pointed out that in the distribution of assignments according to faculties, it should be taken into account that the number of departments in education faculties is 61, and the number of departments in the faculty of science and literature is 48.
Teachers' field knowledge grades were also announced
According to the report, the distribution of the scores obtained from the KPSSP-10 and KPSSP-121 tests of teachers from the faculty of education and faculty of science and literature has also been determined.
Among the graduates of science and literature and education faculty who took the exam, the department that showed the highest average score in the KPSSP-121 test showed teachers who graduated from the Faculty of Science and Letters, Physics department with a score of 83,18.
In addition, the graduates of the Faculty of Education Mathematics teaching became the teacher candidates who showed the highest success in the KPSSP-10 test. Accordingly, the average score of mathematics teacher graduates in this score type was 86,46.
Education faculty students were more successful
According to the distribution of the students who participated in the KPSSP-121 test by faculties, the sum of the scores of the students who graduated from the faculty of education was 70,72, while the sum of the scores of the students who graduated from the faculty of science and literature was 69.11.
While it was revealed that 121 percent of the teacher candidates participating in the KPSSP-62 test were female and 38 percent male, the average score of the males was 61,3; this rate was 62,12 for women.
In the distribution of the students who participated in the KPSSP-121 test, which is a teaching field knowledge test, according to universities, students who graduated from Hacettepe University ranked first, with an average of 80,7 participation.
