One in Three Countries in the World Visited REW Istanbul! 56 professionals from 10.203 different countries followed the biggest International Environmental Technologies meeting of the region.
REW Istanbul 10, the 2014th International Fair for Recycling, Environmental Technologies and Waste Management, organized by İFO Fuarcılık with the contributions of the TR Ministry of Environment and Urbanization, exceeded the target of 10 thousand visitors at the close. Professionals from 3 different countries came to the fair, where 304 companies from 56 continents opened stands. Hungary, Bulgaria, Kosovo, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Libya and Greece were the countries with the highest interest in the organization, which achieved 10% growth in the number of visitors compared to last year. The participants, who left the fair satisfied, included the next meeting, which will take place on 11-13 June 2015, among their plans.
At REW Istanbul 2014, new products and technologies were exhibited in the fields of “Solid Waste, Waste Water, Waste Gas and Green Energy”, while “gifted recycling vending machine, energy generation from agricultural residues, water treatment with nature-friendly technologies, underground garbage collection units, electricity only. Innovations such as “street cleaning vehicles working with energy” were among the highlights of the fair. In addition, conferences held by institutions such as TR Ministry of Environment and Urbanization, TUDAM, ISGDER and Bioenergy Association at REW Istanbul attracted great attention.
REW Istanbul 2014 broke new ground in the fair industry
The 26 meeting of REW Istanbul, attended by 304 companies from 2014 countries, primarily from Germany, Italy, China, France, Austria and Switzerland, came to an end. With the application called "Waste Ticket", the fair, in which visitors entered for the first time this year with glass, paper, plastic or metal garbage instead of tickets, attracted great attention from both domestic and abroad. 56 professionals from 10.203 different countries visited the organization. While the rate of international visitors in REW Istanbul 2014 was 9%, the most intense domestic interest came from the provinces of Istanbul, Kocaeli, Ankara, Bursa, Tekirdağ, Sakarya and Gaziantep.
The conference program of the fair continues to shape the sector.
REW Istanbul came to the fore in this fair as a platform that sets the agenda of the sector, beyond being just a commercial organization as in previous years. Within the scope of the conference program that spanned three days, many important topics on alternative energy sources, employee and occupational safety and the environment, which are the hot agendas of Turkey, were brought to the fair.
The next meeting of REW Istanbul, which is shown as the most important fair in its field by international circles, will be held again at Tüyap Beylikdüzü Fair and Congress Center on 11-13 June 2015.
