Who is Vedat Bilgin?

Vedat Bilgin (born 22 September 1954, Aydıntepe) is a Turkish sociologist, academician, bureaucrat and writer.

Academic life

Born in the Aydıntepe district of Bayburt in 1954, Vedat Bilgin completed his primary, secondary and high school education in the same city. In 1974, he entered Hacettepe University Faculty of Social and Administrative Sciences. After completing his undergraduate education with a degree, he did postgraduate and doctoral studies at the Faculty of Economics of Istanbul University. He published the Young Friend Magazine for the first time while he was a university student.
