Peru's Nazca lines are without a doubt the most enigmatic and mysterious geoglyphs ever discovered on the planet, the Nazca Lines are a source of great mystery to humanity. There are still many people who believe that aliens did it or that aliens and ancient humans had some kind of communication. Science still has no proven answers, it has theories. For the first time in 1926, Toribio Mejia Xesspe, a Peruvian archaeologist, begins researching the Nazca Lines. However, the figures are so large that the motifs can only be understood when viewed from the air. The motifs are not understood until an airplane flew over them for the first time in the 1930s. When Paul Kosok, a pilot, accidentally went to study the Nazca Lines the day after the winter solstice in 1941, he noticed that the sun aligns with the lines at sunset, thus making the Nazca Lines famous as the world's greatest astronomy book.

There are 800 straight lines, 300 geometric shapes, 70 animal and plant motifs in the Ica Desert. The length of some straight lines approaches almost 50 km. The size of the animal and plant motifs varies between 15 and 365 meters. I mean, some are as big as the Empire State Building!

The most striking patterns are, of course, animal patterns. Especially the spiral-tailed monkey, the 180-meter giant lizard and the 130-meter wingspan South American vulture are the most famous. In addition, the owl-headed man figure, which everyone usually resembles to an astronaut, is among the most popular figures. Some say this man is a mystical priest with an owl mask on his head.

Peruvian Nazca Mandala

Mandala in Nazca appears to have been created on the ground, about 155 meters long with an inner circle of the same diameter, carved with extreme precision and detail. Additionally, several other small circles, about 6 meters in diameter, are etched into the landscape along with a series of strategically placed holes. Pictured in an extremely remote area, it sits atop an arid mountain plateau, causing confusion among those who can directly observe it.

Mandala is considered a ritual symbol in Indian religions and represents the universe. Today, the mandala has become a general term used to describe any diagram, graph, or geometric pattern that represents the cosmos. Mandala also symbolizes the idea that life is actually a never-ending cycle. But what is he doing in Peru? Who drew these lines and for what purpose were they drawn?

Communities with two different civilizations and two different beliefs lived in different time periods and on different continents. Mandala is a spiritual and ritual symbol in Indian religions representing the universe. Mandala represents wholeness, it is a cosmic diagram that extends beyond and within our bodies and minds, reminding us of our relationship with eternity. The adoption of this symbolism by Peruvian civilization is also very interesting!

The common point of Peruvian and Indian Civilizations Astronomy

Astronomical alignments are calculated in Mandala. It is possible to make various calculations by processing planetary movements and calculations into Mandala. The discovery of these shapes, which can be used in trigonometric calculations, by astronomy scientists on different continents is a very interesting and research subject.
