James Webb Telescope Reveals Young Stars

James Webb Telescope Reveals Young Stars – Dozens of previously hidden jets and outflows from young stars are revealed in this new Cosmic Cliff image from NASA's James Webb Space Telescope Near Infrared Camera (NIRCam). This image separates various wavelengths of light from the First Image released July 12, 2022, which highlights molecular hydrogen, a vital component for star formation. The appendices to the right highlight three regions of the Cosmic Rocks that have particularly active molecular hydrogen vents. In this image, red, green, and blue are assigned to Webb's NIRCam data at 4,7, 4,44, and 1,87 microns (filters F470N, F444W, and F187N, respectively).
