According to the information provided by the China Manned Space Engineering Office (CMSEO), the Shenzhou-14 manned spacecraft and the Long March-2 F14 carrier rocket arrived at the launch center today.
It was stated that all facilities and equipment at the launch center are in good condition, functional testing and some checks will be made before the launch.
The Shenzhou 14 spacecraft is heavily based on Soyuz MS technology. Shenzhou was approved in 1992 as part of the Chinese space program Project 921 and has a similar design to the Russian Soyuz spacecraft.
In front of the spacecraft is the orbital module containing an androgen docking ring based on APAS technology used to dock with the Tianhe core module. In the middle is the reentry module containing the crew, which is an enlarged version of the Soyuz landing module. The back of the spacecraft is the service module equipped with engines, fuel tanks and solar panels.
It was announced that Shenzhou-14 will carry three astronauts and will be launched soon.
