“This agreement is a great source of pride for Turkey and us”

Stating that they have achieved an important export success in Turkey in the production of UAVs that require high precision and high technology, Fly BVLOS General Manager Murat Islıoğlu said, “As Fly BVLOS, we transfer our experience and knowledge from the past to the future. We manufacture on drone technologies. We provide flight training on these drones. Our unmanned aerial vehicle named JACKAL, which has domestic and national software that we produce, can carry a minimum load of 15 kg and can fly at a range of 130 kilometers. With this first UAV sale to England, which is at the top in world trade and value-added technology; We are very proud of our company and our country. Our friends have done serious R&D studies for a very long time. They achieved significant success. I would like to thank everyone who contributed to this agreement, from the management staff to the engineers, from the technicians to the workers, who contributed to this agreement, which makes us all smile today, as well as to GTU Rector Mr. Muhammed Hasan Aslan and all university staff for their support.”

Flyby Technology founder Jon Parker stated that the purchased JACKAL UAV was chosen because it is very suitable for trainings with its new generation features and made the following assessment: “As one of the leading brands in drone pilot training, we preferred the JACKAL unmanned aerial vehicle for our trainings because it is the smart operator's. We think this is the system he will buy. You need to train new generation pilots in new generation aircraft. These are long-range flight control systems that carry heavy loads and are different from hobby equipment in the past. We can say that JACKAL is exactly the UAV we are looking for with its features. If you want to change the rules of the game, you have to own the ball! With the difference it will make in training, JACKAL will provide us with the ability to train pilots around the world and grow our business. It will embrace the concept of Drones for Good and will allow us to use the platform in peacekeeping missions and with NGOs.”

All R&D studies of JACKAL, produced by Fly BVLOS Technology, a subsidiary of Coşkunöz Holding, together with Maxwell Innovations, were carried out entirely in Dronepark. JACKAL, which has a special design and domestic software, can be used in cargo and logistics service areas in the aviation industry. The Unmanned Aerial Vehicle JACKAL is planned to fly across the ocean in adverse weather conditions. Thanks to its VTOL feature, JACKAL can land and take off in any area without the need for a runway. JACKAL is planned to fly in areas such as humanitarian aid, monitoring and observation, sensitive data logistics in harsh weather conditions and in all kinds of scenarios.

JACKAL UAV Features

The JACKAL UAV design and features actually remind us of the Bayraktar DİHA platform. Because both aircraft can take off vertically. But when we look at JACKAL, it is a helicopter-like structure with UAV wings.

JACKAL has 8 propellers that enable vertical take-off and landing. These are positioned in 2 at the 4 corners of the vehicle. After landing and take-off, it has 2 turbine engines so that it can move horizontally, as in airplanes.

When we look at the features shared by Fly Bvlos Technology, we see that this UAV has a range of approximately 130 kilometers. With a maximum load carrying capacity of up to 15 kg. In other words, systems such as electro-optical cameras and laser marking in Bayraktar DİHA can be used. Of course, it can perform surveillance and various tasks other than military purposes!
